NI man remanded over child sex abuse images after being extradited from Netherlands

A man has been remanded into custody after being extradited to Northern Ireland to stand trial over sex abuse images.

He was extradited from The Netherlands.

Police had said Anderson faces 27 charges which include possessing, making and distributing indecent images of children.

The second case involves 108 offences that include possessing, making and distributing indecent images of children and inciting the sexual assault of a child.

Mr Beattie said it was “a complicated investigation” and the number of alleged images in the cases is “in excess of 1,300, if not more”.

The lawyer said Anderson “has asked me to convey to the court that he’s very anxious to progress this case as quickly as possible and he is anxious to deal with the case at the earliest opportunity”.
